Welcome to Ragstone Road Surgery
Ragstone Road Surgery is currently operating a telephone triage system for all patients. We are not seeing walk-ins at this time .This is an attempt to significantly reduce the rapid spread of COVID-19 to our elderly and vulnerable patients in accordance with national guidelines. We will of course still see patients who genuinely need to be seen. We realise that it is hard to accommodate some patients individual needs and expectations and we are constantly trying to manage and improve the situation.
You will NOT be allowed access into the building unless you have a pre-booked face-to-face appointment that has been agreed with a clinician over the phone.
- If you have a pre-booked appointment please wait OUTSIDE, you will be called when we are ready to see you.
- Please use e-consult or the Ragstone Road Surgery website to request all repeat prescriptions, if you do not have access to these facilities then you can post the repeat into our post box.
- All Prescriptions will be sent directly to the pharmacy (please add your nominated pharmacy to your repeat if we do not already know this). You will NOT be allowed to collect the prescription from the Surgery.
- If you would like to book an appointment to speak to a doctor, please call the Surgery or use e-consult (below). You will not be able to make an appointment at the reception desk.
- Baby immunisations are continuing as normal.

As an organisations that provides NHS or adult social care we must follow the accessible information standard by law
The aim of the accessible information standard is to make sure that people who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss get information that they can access and understand, and any communication support that they need.
As part of the accessible information standard, organisations that provide NHS or adult social care must do five things. We will
- Ask people if they have any information or communication needs, and find out how to meet their needs.
- Record those needs clearly and in a set way.
- Highlight or flag the person’s file or notes so it is clear that they have information or communication needs and how to meet those needs
- Share information about people’s information and communication needs with other providers of NHS and adult social care, when they have consent or permission to do so.
- Take steps to ensure that people receive information which they can access and understand, and receive communication support if they need it.
If you need any of the information we send out to you in an alternative format (e.g. large print or easy read) or if you need help with communication with us (e.g. use British sign language or are hard of hearing) then please let us know to enable your records to be updated. Wheelchair access is available at the front of the building. We also have disabled toilet facilities.
